Am I Capable

This weeks theme in Discover me was 'I Am Capable'. I asked the child to list down things that she feels she can't do, that she thinks she is not capable of doing. She took some time, when I gave couple of examples she could make the list. Then we said how different our life will be if we could do all that we think we cant.. how about writing the opposite of those sentence. So I can't cook became 'I can cook'.

Later we were introspecting what is stopping us from doing.. she first said 'I don't know' then she started sharing because I feel I cant do, I feel it is difficult to do, I don't know to do, I am not capable of doing myself and so on. There was a glow on her face as she was sharing all this as if there was a revelation. We have so many beliefs that stop us in doing or trying or learning. When I was having this conversation with her, I realized I have many such beliefs and conclusions that stops me from becoming the better version of myself.

During her snack time she was sharing how she made the snacks with her mothers help. When I asked so you can cook... you and your mom cooked the snack together?' She said ' Ayyo no I did very little , I only cut the vegetables' . I asked 'So you are capable of cooking?'. She said 'Noooo!!!', The she started laughing and said 'we have so many beliefs no, I will throw this belief in the dustbin'.

Then she made a list of things that she is capable of. She also planned her activities for the day. She listed down in those activities what all is she capable of.

For next two hours she was busy doing what she planned.
